Exercise Update

Shake Weight, are you the answer to my prayers?

I said before that I want to be one of those cool moms who run right up until they give birth. Well, so far I give myself an “eh” for effort. The good news is that I’ve been active about 5 days a week. That bad news is that I haven’t run more than a mile in about five weeks.

I go to the gym about twice a week and do the elliptical for 30-40 minutes and then do arm exercises for another 10 minutes. About 3 days a week I go on a 3.5 mile walk around my neighborhood. Sometimes I run part of the way but I’d be surprised if it added up to a mile.

I think I am going to try to add an extra elliptical day and also add some arm exercises to the end of my walks. If I can commit to 6 days a week plus some added arm attention, I won’t feel too bad about not being able to run a 5K on my delivery day.
