Quick ‘N Easy Shrimp ‘N Broccoli

I’ve been on carb overload lately, so last night I was craving greens and protein. I whipped this up in about 10 minutes and it totally satisfied my craving. This is the definition of quick and easy and is virtually foolproof. Adjust all ingredients to your preferences.

Frozen broccoli florets (about 1/2 lb)

Frozen shrimp (about 1/2 lb)

1 tbsp chili garlic sauce (you can find this with the other Asian food products)

2 tbsp soy sauce

Heat broccoli in a skillet with 1/2 tbsp of the chili garlic sauce for about 3 minutes. Drain out any liquid. Next, throw in the shrimp and heat for another 3 minutes or until shrimp and broccoli are thoroughly heated. Drain our any liquid again. Mix in the rest of the chili garlic sauce and soy sauce. Stir and heat for another minute or so and you are done! 

Note that you can make this recipe gluten free and paleo friendly if you use gluten free soy sauce and sub out red pepper flakes and minced garlic for the chili garlic sauce.
